Diffractive optical Element (DOE)

A diffractive optical element (DOE) is an optical component with a microstructured surface. When a DOE is placed in front of a light beam it reshapes the light beam into a pattern. The pattern of the light, diffracted by a grating, depends on the structure of the elements. These patterns can be tailored to the application requirements.
